What Services Does tw telecom Provide?
tw telecom is a leading provider of managed telecommunications services (including Business Ethernet and converged and VPN solutions) for enterprises and large organizations across the United States and globally. We deliver data, Internet, and local and long distance voice services. tw telecom provides transport for enterprise businesses, long distance carriers, wireless communications companies, incumbent local exchange carriers, state, and local governments and the military.
How Long Has tw telecom Been in Existence?
We began in 1993 as a joint venture with Time Warner Cable (now a unit of Time Warner Inc.). Starting in 1997, we chose to focus on delivering services to business customers, including carriers and governmental entities, and to expand from dedicated services into Voice Services, Internet, and data.
In July 1998, we became a separate entity and reorganized as Time Warner Telecom LLC. Less than a year later we issued an IPO and became Time Warner Telecom Inc. and then evolved into tw telecom in July 2008.

When you fill out the employment application, you will be asked to provide a “source” of how you learned about the position. Choose “Employee Referral” and then you’ll be prompted to enter the employee’s name and contact information.
I’m Trying to Update My Profile, but the System Doesn’t Recognize Me.
First, check to make sure that you have actually submitted an application for a specific job in the past. The system only stores resumes and other data for job applicants. Creating a job agent does not result in the creation of a profile. Who Is the Hiring Manager for this Position?

It is very rare for tw telecom to fill positions on a part-time basis.
Do I Have to Pass a Drug Test and Background Check to Be Hired at tw telecom?
Yes. All tw telecom employees are required to pass a criminal background check, undergo employment verification, and pass a drug test. Employees within tw telecom’s Field Operations Department also must pass a Motor Vehicle check.
Does tw telecom Run Credit Checks on Candidates Being Considered for Hire?
Credit checks are not a standard hiring requirement at tw telecom except for positions with high visibility and access to company financial resources and information.
